The Workhouse Highlights 2022
What's On

From our Workshops in May, attendees for Fís Feasa came together and created their own short films using their mobiles and their imaginations! A massive thank you to our collaborators at Fís Feasa for running these Workshops with us and thank you to Creative Ireland, the Donegal County Museum, RTÉ and Donegal County Council for supporting this project
Hosting Your Events
The Workhouse has been a host for a number of events and screenings within its premises and 30-seater cinema. Throughout the year, it has organised a Winter Market, Halloween Events, coffee mornings, and movie screenings, and its facilities are used by local businesses and groups for things like Parent and Toddler Meet-Ups, charity events, storytelling evenings and so much more.
If you would be interested in hosting an event at the Workhouse or booking our cinema for private screenings, please contact us at dunfanaghyworkhousetours@gmail.com.
Exhibition
The exhibition is told through an audio system. Visitors do not need to book with us to do the tour. However, if there is a particular time that you would like, the staff would be happy to try and accommodate that. The tour is self guided and the audio lasts roughly 30 minutes. We also offer a 15 minute short film in our cinema about the local area.
Guided tours are offered and they can be booked in advance with our Heritage Officer.
