What's On
MAY 2022
Fís Feasa is a creative workshop for 12 to 17 year olds to show them how to become creators using their phones, and how video media can be used to engage with our local landscape, language and heritage in so many different ways. This will be run in collaboration with Comhcheol and these Workshops will accumulate in a premiere of the short films participants make at our cinema!

Innovating Communities has been working to assess the needs and wants of the people that live, work, travel or visit the Dunfanaghy area, and have created this survey for everyone to take part in.
Participants can fill it out in the same amount of time it takes to drink a cup of tea, so if you can spare the time be sure to fill it out!

Hosting Your Events
The Workhouse has been a host for a number of events and screenings within its premises and 30-seater cinema. Throughout the year, it has organised a Christmas Market, Halloween Events, coffee mornings, and movie screenings, and its facilities are used by local businesses and groups for things like Parent and Toddler Meet-Ups, charity events, storytelling evenings and so much more.
If you would be interested in hosting an event at the Workhouse or booking our cinema for private screenings, please contact us at dunfanaghyworkhousetours@gmail.com.
Exhibition
The exhibition is told through an audio system. Visitors do not need to book with us to do the tour. However, if there is a particular time that you would like, the staff would be happy to try and accommodate that. The tour is self guided and the audio lasts roughly 30 minutes. We also offer a 15 minute short film in our cinema about the local area.
Guided tours are offered and they can be booked in advance with our Heritage Officer.
